Description

The Transformation of Penn Station
For decades, New York's Penn Station has represented both the extraordinary importance - and the extraordinary challenges - of the United States' transportation infrastructure. Today, one of the nation's most ambitious infrastructure programs is underway to transform the busiest rail hub in North America into a world-class gateway for millions of passengers. Led by Amtrak, in partnership with public agencies and industry leaders, the Penn Station Transformation is far more than a station renovation. It is a once-in-a-generation effort to modernize critical infrastructure while maintaining continuous operations, improving passenger experience, increasing rail capacity, and reshaping the future of intercity and regional transportation.
We are pleased to announce the moderator and panelists joining PWC NY for The Transformation of Penn Station, bringing together industry leaders with expertise spanning architecture, engineering, program management, and infrastructure planning.
Elizabeth Velez, President of Velez Organization, will moderate the discussion, guiding a conversation with five distinguished panelists:
- Amy Beckman, AIA, LEED AP — Senior Principal and Practice Leader, Architecture, HOK
- Greg McGee — Deputy Design Build Manager, Penn Transformation Partners
- Camille Silverman, PMP — Director, Program Management & Project Controls, Amtrak
- Valentina Stratton, PE — Project Manager, Skanska USA Civil
- Katie Theis — Vice President and Planning & Environment Group Director, HNTB
Together, the panelists will share their perspectives on the collaboration, innovation, design, and strategic planning shaping the future of one of the country’s most complex transportation projects. The event will also feature Andy Byford, Special Advisor to the Amtrak Board of Directors and Project Executive, as the keynote speaker.
Registration is open for individuals and sponsors! Reserve your seat today to hear from the leaders helping shape the future of Penn Station.
